Bom enquanto
esperamos o post da Mia nos contando como foi o treinamento da CC em NYC e de
como foi sua chegada na Host Family e de como estão sendo os seus
dias...Resolvi fazer um post dando dicas pra quem está na fase de preencher o
app para então ficar online!!! Já aviso que o post vai ser longo assim como o perfil! rsrsrsrsrsrs
Então vamos
lá...vou tentar ajudar vocês com dicas importantes sobre o que devemos falar e
o que jamais devemos falar...e vou deixar pra vocês também a minha carta!!!
Como somos
da Cultural Care, vou seguir a ordem do perfil deles, mais acredito que para as
outras agencias não será tão diferente!
O perfil da
CC é composto pelos seguintes itens:
- About Me;
- My Qualifications;
- Health Information;
- My Au Pair Yer;
- My Photos.
About Me:
Aqui vocês darão informações básicas.Vocês também vão descrever um pouco sobre a relação
com a sua família, vocês devem dizer que eles apoiam esta decisão, e que estão
te ajudando, se você tem irmãos diga que são amigos.
Sobre os seu "Duties" aqui
gente tentem dizer que sabem cozinhar, que ajudam na organização de casa,
procure ser bem completo, tipo lavo a louça, varrer a casa, tiro pó, e gosto de
cozinhar.
A ultima
parte é sobre os seus "Hobbies" tentem falar que gostam
de praticar esportes e que são bem ativos, que gostam bastante de passear de ir
em parques, se você sabe tocar algum instrumento essa é a hora de falar, se não
sabe diga que aprecia musica, fale sobre sua criatividade, que gosta de ler,
que tipo de livros você gosta, o principal é sempre lembrar que você esta indo
cuidar de criança, mais que você tem que conquistar os pais primeiro...diga o
que eles querem ouvir sobre você. Jamis fale que gosta de ficar assistindo e que gosta de dormir.

Qualification
Aqui você
vai falar sobre sua experiência em dirigir...muito importante não mentir,
porque chegando lá eles conseguem descobrir, e já vi muita menina em Hematch
por isso.
Diga se você
sabe nadar e a quanto tempo.
Conte sobre
sua formação acadêmica e sobre seu trabalho atual ou o ultimo.
Chegamos em
um dos pontos principais a "Childcare Information" pessoal
aqui é onde a agencia vai comprovar as sua horas de experiencia com crianças, o
minimo é 200 horas, mais se você tiver mais e tiver como comprovar, é sempre
bom colocar...falem tudo o que vocês faziam com as Kids.

Information
Neste item
você dará informações úteis e importantes sobre seu estado de saúde e sobre as
suas alergias. Lembrando que vocês deverão fazer um teste que se chama
Tuberculina conhecido também como PPD, e que será necessário pegar uma carta de recomendação médica.
Vocês ainda deverão mandar a carta e o laudo do exame para a sua agencia de
intercambio.

neste item vocês irão falar o porque querem ser Au Pair, porque a família deve
te escolher como Au Pair. Como são perguntas difíceis de responder, vou deixar
as minhas respostas como exemplo pra vocês:
- Why do you want to be an au pair?
I want know other country, the new culture, and I want to have fluence
in English speak. Also I want to meet new places and new people. I always get
along well with children, I like teach for them. So I believe this program is
perfect for my expectancy.
- Why should a family choose you to be their au pair?
Because I am responsible, flexible, helpful, friendly, energetic,
creative, caring, happy, respectful and funny. I feel confortable with
children. I can teach many things to your kids about Brazilian culture like
brazilian food, music, language and history. I am sure will a great au pair to
your family.

Gente, aqui
procurem colocar bastante fotos com crianças, e fotos com sua família, se tiver
fotos fazendo atividade ao ar livre é uma boa ideia!
Vou colocar
algumas que eu coloquei no meu perfil...Uma dica super importante, lembrem que
o perfil de au pair não é facebook, portanto sua foto do perfil deverá ser
comportada e se possível com criança.
E por ultimo
a Carta em Inglês...Com certeza a minha tem vários erros de gramática, porque
não sou nenhuma fera em Inglês, mais da pra ter uma boa noção de como fazer, e
de quais as informações vocês devem colocar. Não poupem esforços ao fazer a
carta as famílias dão muita importância pra ela.
Dear host family,
My name is
Camila A. Santana, I am 24 years old. I live in Curitiba – PR. This city is
considered the coldest capital of Brazil, but is beautiful city for live, I
like here very much.
I live with my
parents, my brother, and my pets. I have two dogs, one little dog and other
big. My mother started to work a while ago. She is a school clerk, and she
takes care of a lot of kids, and I help her.My father works as a tinker, and my
brother just studying. Our family is very united and we
get along really well, my parents support my decisions and also the decisions
of my brother.
I like very
much of reading, I like stories, so I like watching movies and also I go to the
cinema in my free time. I like so much of learn e meet the new culture, new
places, whenever I can, I drive to the beach. I like walk in the park, riding a
bike, play volleyball. In the weekend, when is a sunny day in Curitiba, I like
go to the park with my friends for seize the day, they have children and I like
to play with them, we have fun so much, because we play with a ball, to skip
rope, to run, sometimes we do picnic, and is pretty good.
I like very
much to drive, I am very responsible and careful in the traffic, and I have
never been in a car accident, I always respect the speed limit, because I like
to feel secure when I am driving. I got my driver’s license when I
was 19 years old. In the weekend I like to drive with my cousin and daughter of
my friend, they have the same age. We get along really well.
In July of 2014
I finished my undergrad, so I would like to go to US, for live new experiences.
I like so much of study and think it is very important, so I want learn more of
the English language and the American culture. I consider myself a caring
person, dedicated, funny, creative and organized person, I am get along very
well with children, because I understand they generally.
My first
experience with children was helping my mother in her work. I helped her with:
give the food for the kids, give bathing, play with them, changing diapers, dressing,
and take to school.
But my first
experience alone with the kid was with Gabriela. I took care of her when she
was 3 years old, and I took care in the school vacation. We used to play to
many things, for example to skip rope, to twirl the hula-hoop, paint, draw,
puzzle and domino.
After, in the
weekend I took care of Melissa, she was 4 years old. Generally I took care of
her two Saturdays for month. I took care of her for almost 2 years. We used
liked to play house, dolls, play school, paint, draw, and she like so much play
with puzzle.
My last
experience with kid was with Keven, he was three months old when I start care
him. I used changing diapers, give the bathing, bottle feeding, and put him
take a sleep. I took care of him during two months, because after that, I
started to work in my area. I always liked to play with them doing the
activities that they liked, when we was in two or more, I always tried to
negotiate the activities, for we can play what everyone likes.
I decided to be
an au pair because I think it's a good way to improve my English. I think this
will be very important for my future and my career as a manager. I love to
travel and experience a new culture, new people, and explore new things. I
believe the program will be very good for that. But I also, always liked
children, and work with them and get to study will be a great opportunity for
me.
So now, I hope
to find a family who consider me part of your family, and to make my dream come
true. I hope your contact because I really want to meet your family and your
children; I'm sure you have a wonderful time with you and take good care of
your kids.
